Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Ardelia collects when you visit this website or contact us, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We collect as little as we can.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Ardelia Inc., a Delaware corporation based in New York, NY (“Ardelia”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to [email protected].
2. What we collect
When you contact us or request a demo
- Your name and email address.
- Your institution and role, if you choose to give them.
- What you are interested in, and your message.
- The date and time you wrote.
We do not ask for, and do not want, any other information through the form. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data needed to deliver the website and protect it from attack, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We do not use this data to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything you send us.
3. Why, and on what legal basis
- Replying to you
- We use what you send us to answer your request, arrange a demo, or consider your application to the pilot. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps you have asked for before any agreement.
- Running and securing the website
- Technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, add you to a mailing list, or make automated decisions about you.
5. International transfers
Our providers are based in the United States or process data there. If you write to us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the United States. Where the provider is certified, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions; otherwise on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep messages sent through the form for one year, then delete them. We act on deletion requests within 30 days.
Cloudflare keeps technical logs for a short period set by its own policies.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
